CANACEM industries invest strong amounts of money in technology in order to have emissions under the established limits, according to national and international regulations.

CANACEM has signed agreements with the Mexican Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, (SEMARNAT for Spanish initials) as well as with the Mexican Oil Industry (Petroleos Mexicanos), in order to use the waste materials of oil industry in cement production, avoiding contamination and keeping the commitment of the industry with sustainable development.
